Mr. Surinder Singh, the DSP of the Crime Branch in Panchkula, recently visited Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School to conduct a cybercrime awareness program for our students. This program was organized in response to the increasing prevalence of cybercrime and the need to educate our students about its various forms and the precautions they can take to protect themselves.

During the program, Mr. Singh spoke about the various types of cybercrime, such as identity theft, phishing, and cyberbullying. He also shared examples of real-life cases of cybercrime and the impact they had on the victims.

The program also included a demonstration of various cybercrime scenarios, which helped our students understand how cybercriminals operate and the tactics they use to steal personal information and carry out fraudulent activities.

Mr. Singh also highlighted the importance of maintaining privacy and security while using the internet and social media. He advised our students to avoid sharing personal information such as their full name, phone number, or address on social media platforms and to be cautious while clicking on links or downloading files from unknown sources.

The cybercrime awareness program organized by Mr. Surinder Singh was a highly informative and educational experience for our students. It helped them understand the risks associated with using the internet and social media and empowered them with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves from cybercrime.

At Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, we believe that such awareness programs are essential in today’s digital age, and we thank Mr. Surinder Singh for taking the time to educate our students on this important topic.
